We regret to announce the passing of Magdalena Njoki Gitau, which occurred on Saturday, 7th June, 2025. Magdalena was the firstborn daughter of the late Michael Kamau Nguri and the late Monicah Mirai Kamau. She was the wife of the late Bernard Ng’ang’a Getau and the daughter-in-law of the late Rev. Musa Gitau and the late Lilian Wamucii. She was the mother of Dr. Elizabeth Wangui & Clement Onyiego, Annie Wambui, Dr. Dominic Getau & Rachael Muthoni, Anthony Kamau & Cecilia Gathoni, Richard Njuguna Ng’ang’a and Jane Wangari Kinyanjui, Monicah Gitau-O’Reilly & Michael O’Reilly and Angela Wanjiru. Sister to the late Joseph Nguri, Salome Wanjiru, Mrs. Bridgette Kariuki, the late Pauline Njeri, Augustine Njoroge, Stephen Kimani, Mrs. Teresia Kabuiya Mukura, Gabriel Mburu, Dorothy Wambui & the late Bathlomeo Warui. She was the grandmother of Christopher Karanja, Lina Njoki Gitau, Benson Kinuthia, Evelyne Njoki Gitau & William Kamande Kailikia, Felix Getau & Francisca Mweru Kinyanjui, Catherine Njoki Njuguna & David Njenga Mucene, Annette Njoki Gitau, the late Stephen Maina, Sharon Wambui Njuguna, Jeremiah Baraka, Bernard Karanja Kamau, Kylene Ng’endo Gitau, Alicia Njoki Kamau, Rosemary Muthoni Kamau. She was the great-grandmother of Furaha Jewel Wangari, Flint Kinyanjui, Kailikia Kamande, Kaume Kamande, Freema Wanjiru. Daily meetings for funeral arrangements are being held at her home in Wamwangi, Gatundu South at 4:00 pm and at Steve Lacy’s Restaurant, Parkroad at 5:00 pm. A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, 14th June, 2025 at 2:30 pm at her home. The cortege will leave Montezuma Funeral Home, Kabati on Tuesday, 17th June at 8:00 am. The funeral procession will proceed to Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, Wamwangi Village followed by the interment at her home. Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her.

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of Martha Muthoni Kanyi on 8th June 2025, after a long illness. She was wife of the late Samuel Mwangi King’ori (Kanyi wa Njua), Co-Wife of Lucy Wairimu. Daughter of the late John Kanyeki and the late Joyce Wanjiru. Sister of the late Wairimu, Wanjohi, Njeri, Ndirangu and Njoki. Sister in-law of the late Cecilia Wanjiku and Mary Wanjiru Muga. The mother of the late Joel King’ori, Mwangi and Wamuyu, Gathoni and Ng’ang’a, Wanjiru and Ngatia, the late Ndonga and the late Regina, Cecilia and Late Rukwaro, Peter and Faith, Wanjohi and Beatrice, Hon. Karuiru and Sarah, Wairimu and John, Rosemary and Kyalo, King’ori and Regina, Kingori and Sarah. She was a grandmother, great grandmother, cousin, Auntie, and Friend to many. Meetings are being held at Thika – Mary Hill from 6pm, her home in Nyeri, Gitero daily from 3:00pm. The cortege will leave Outspan Funeral Home on Tuesday 17th June 2025 at 8:00 am. The funeral service will be held at AIPCA, Gitero Church and burial thereafter at her home in Kiamaguru, Gitero. She has fought the good fight, She has finished the race, She kept the faith.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Tabitha Wairimu Mwangi, which occurred on 7th June 2025. Daughter of the late Wachira Buru and the late Phoebe Muthoni. Wife of the late Peter Mwangi. Mother to the late Kanyoro Mwangi, Wachira Mwangi (South Mara Enterprises), Solomon Mwangi (Buhler International), the late Njeri Maina, Waweru Mwangi (Decta Industries), Maina Mwangi (Mwangi Mbuthia Hardware and Autopak International Limited), Njogu Mwangi (Mwangi Mbuthia Cycle Dealers), and John Mwangi (Stoken Hardware Nyamakima). Mother-in-law of Felista Nyokabi, Sarah Wambui, Mary Kagwiria, Phylis Nyokabi, Nancy Gathoni, Irene Wangui, and Lydia Njeri. Sister of the late Wangeci Mwangi, Gibson Wachira, and the late Mary Wangari. Grandmother of Ciru, Njeri, Nimu, Winnie, Sonnie, Emma, Kenny, Alex, Louise, Venessa, Solo, Tabby, Kamau, Tabitha, Imelda, Grace, Shantel, Skylar, Shanna, Kelvin, Collins, Jasmine, Dylan, Byson, Yvonne, Danisa, Letticia, Alicia, Nguci, and Nyambura. Great-grandmother and aunt of many. Daily prayers and funeral arrangement meetings are being held at All Saints Cathedral, Nairobi, and at the family home in Iganjo Gakindu, Mukurweini, starting at 5:00 p.m. The cortege will leave Tumu Tumu Mission Hospital on Thursday, 19th June 2025 at 8:00 a.m., for a funeral service at PCEA Diaini Parish, after which she will be laid to rest at the family farm in Gakindu. 2nd Timothy 4:7 “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith”

Father of Lucas, Elizaphan, Grace, the late Charles, the late Dickson, Jane, Florence, the late Ndemo, the late Kepha, Apoko, Nchore, the late Sibia and Eric. Father In-law of Dr. Teresa, Jane, the late Rasugu, Dorcas, Jimmy Of U.S.A, Ogoti, Alice, Sibia, Vivian, Simon and Edna. Korera of the late Omwoyo, the late Ogendo, the late Rasugu, Bosire, the late Ombati, the late Ogoti, the late Ochwangi, Ezekia, the late Mwamba, the late Kibiego and Okeyo. Brother in-law of the late Mariam, the late Isaiah, the late Paul, the late Bethsheba, Bochere; the late Rhoda, Zacharia, Jane, Truphena, Josephine, Makori and Kennedy. Son In-law of Luka and Mosoti. Bother of the late Kimwei, Anastancia, the late Abuga, the late Mweberi and the late Mogi; the late Nyaribari; the late Okero; the late Nyakangi, the late Omayo among Others. Loving uncle of Milkah, Elizabeth, Omariba, Andrew, Bundi, Peter, Igendia and Pastor Maina among others. Grandfather Lydia, Eric, Susan, Bosires, Faith, Douglas, Charlies, Peninas, Blessing among others and a Great Grandfather of many. Funeral arrangements are ongoing at his Raitigo home and at Kahawa Sukari; Nairobi. The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Funeral Home on Thursday 12th June, 2025. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing on of Nancy Wanjiru Mwangi. She was the beloved wife of Mwangi Kamau, cherished mother of Janet, the late Jeff, Wacuka and Magiri; and a wonderful Mother-in-law to Michael Green. Daughter of the late: Michael Njau (Theluji) and Mary Wachuka (Mama Safi). Daughter-in-law of the late Geoffrey Kamau (Miyako Eldoret) and Grace Kamau. She was a loving sister to the late: Samuel Njau (Kamande), Nyambura, Tom and Njooki. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her three cherished grandsons Jason, Justin & Liam. Prayer meetings are being held daily at the Safaripark Gardens from 6pm to 8pm. The funeral service will be held on Friday 6th June 2025 at ACK St. Joseph of Arimathea (near USIU university) from 9am, with a burial to follow at Lang’ata Cemetery
